We blow smoke into our own mirrors, causing our own chaos and confusion. When we decide to toss our patterns into the fire, a new pathway emerges and we expand our capacity for life. Sometimes we have to stand in the smoke for along time, until we finally get tired of struggling to breathe, we eventually move, take a deep inhale and soften in to the peace that’s always been available just waiting to be chosen.

They preserve culture and traditions, passing on codes of knowledge and wisdom that transcend through generations as they adapt to the inevitable chain of evolution.

They keep all colors, textures and flavours alive; They communicate through time following the practices of art, storytelling, labor, love and care(most importantly).

These are photographs of Doña Catarina who practices and creates hand-made textiles in San Marcos la Laguna, Guatemala.
