The project Sustainable Christmas 2.0 is an initiative based on microprojects rooted in promoting awareness and action in themes of current relevance including education, the environment, social development, among others, within the community Joyas de Senahú. This community is located in the outskirts of Guatemala City and it has historically been affected by poverty, crime, violence, environmental pollution, low literacy rates, this has been the leader of a continuous vicious cycle within its inhabitants. Therefore, the ultimate goal of this series of micro-projects is to implement sustainable practices which directly engaged community members, from children and youth to adults and the elderly. This way, everyone will partake in an important role being the protagonists of the change. Below there is a picture of the beautiful community this project aspires to positively impact 🌱
