The Hellenic MPSOTC, within the framework of its ongoing and successful collaboration with Meducation – International Medical and Training Institute, announces the organization of the 7th “HEAT - Hostile Environment Awareness Training School”, which will take place from 15 to 19 June 2026 and emanate from Europe’s New Training Initiative for Civilian Crisis Management (EU ENTRi).
The aim of this educational initiative is to strengthen and further develop participants’ capacity to identify and assess potential threats (both linear and non-linear) in hostile environments where they may be required to undertake operational missions. The systematic cultivation of such situational awareness constitutes a decisive factor in enhancing their operational readiness and, consequently, improving their survivability.

From March 23 to 27, 2026, the Hellenic MPSOTC in collaboration with the international medical & training institute Meducation conducted the HEAT - Hostile Environment Awareness Training course and emanate from Europe’s New Training Initiative for Civilian Crisis Management (EU ENTRi).
The Course aimed to strengthen participants’ capabilities in effectively managing risks (nonlinear threats) and surviving in hostile environments, through a combination of theoretical training and practical exercises in realistic scenarios. High-tech simulators and equipment were used to provide a comprehensive training experience.
The training covered a wide range of critical topics, including: emergency car scenario simulators, medical skills and first aid techniques, hostage survival and negotiation strategies, fundamentals of field communication and navigation, mobile security and checkpoint tactics, familiarization with weaponry and explosive devices.

From February 09th to 13th, 2026, the Hellenic MPSOTC conducted the “International Humanitarian Law Course” via the online learning platform. A diverse group of 40 participants hailing from 8 different countries participated in the training, diving deep into complexities and nuances of protecting civilians a cultural heritage amidst the challenges of armed conflict.

Through this Course, the participants acquired valuable knowledge regarding the legal, political, and practical dimensions of International Humanitarian Law. In parallel, they explored the multi-layered threats, needs, and vulnerabilities faced by different civilian groups, developing a more detailed understanding of how to respond effectively to these challenges, with professionalism, empathy and critical thinking as core characteristics.

Upon completion of the Course, the participants are now in a position to apply their knowledge at the operational level, implementing strategies and measures fully aligned with the principles of International Humanitarian Law.

The Hellenic Multinational Peace Support Operations Training Center (MPSOTC) successfully delivered the Online Learning Course “Security Management in Situational Prevention”, from 26 January to 06 February 2026.

The Course brought together 30 participants from Cyprus, Greece, Germany, Malta, and Poland, representing military personnel, law enforcement officers, civilian professionals from public administration, and the private security sector. The multinational and multidisciplinary composition of the virtual class significantly enriched the exchange of knowledge, perspectives, and operational experience.

The primary objective of the Course was to provide participants with a solid working knowledge of security management principles and requirements, with emphasis on personnel and installation security.

Throughout the program, participants enhanced their operational and planning capabilities, strengthened awareness of contemporary security risks and hybrid threats, and were introduced to counter-terrorism, counter-asymmetric attack, and anti-criminality protection approaches within the framework of situational prevention.

The curriculum combined theoretical instruction with practical application through lectures, a risk management workshop, and scenario-based exercises. Key training areas included security planning, crisis management, Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), cyber-related hybrid threats, airport and convoy security, behavioral threat detection, cultural property protection, and the development and implementation of risk management plans.

Participants actively engaged in discussions and collaborative workshops and presented their final exercises, demonstrating professionalism and a strong commitment to enhancing security practices in their respective organizations and countries.

From November 24 to 28, 2025, the Hellenic MPSOTC in collaboration with the international educational institute Meducation (specialized in emergency pre-hospital care) conducted the “Hostile Environment Awareness Training” (HEAT) course and emanate from Europe’s New Training Initiative for Civilian Crisis Management (EU ENTRi).

The Course aimed to strengthen participants’ capabilities in effectively managing risks (nonlinear threats) and surviving in hostile environments, through a combination of theoretical training and practical exercises in realistic scenarios. On 15 and 16 December 2025, the military and civilian personnel of MPSOTC, within the framework of the ongoing and successful cooperation with the international training organization Meducation (specialized in emergency pre-hospital care), participated in two certified training programs: “Basic Life Support (BLS)” and “First Field Care.”
The training aimed to strengthen operational readiness, safe response, and standardized delivery of care in emergency incidents, through a combination of theoretical instruction and hands-on practice in realistic scenarios.
Training Program 1: Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• Recovery position and assessment of responsiveness/breathing
• Management of choking/airway obstruction
• Proper activation of emergency services and basic scene safety principles
Training Program 2: First Care in the Field
• Introduction to Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) / Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC)
• Care Under Fire (CUF) / Direct Threat Care (DTC)
• Tactical Field Care (TFC) / Indirect Threat Care (ITC)
• Immediate management of bleeding and traumatic injuries
• Individual and team medical kit management (IFAK / CLS Bag)
• Practical skills stations based on the MAR algorithm
• Casualty movement/transport techniques
The participation of MPSOTC personnel in the above training programs significantly enhances readiness, standardized response, and the safe provision of pre-hospital care, as part of the continuous development of the organization’s human resources knowledge and skills.

From 01 - 05 December 2025, the Hellenic MPSOTC successfully delivered the “Building Integrity” Distance-Learning Course.
Throughout the week, 20 participants from 4 countries explored key principles of integrity, the root causes of corruption, and practical ways to counter it -especially within the Defence and Security Sector.
They also examined how organizational governance, along with available tools and strategies, can help build resilience mechanisms that strengthen integrity.

From 30 to 31 October 2025, the Hellenic Multinational Peace Support Operations Training Center (MPSOTC) successfully conducted a specialized workshop focused on Peace Support Operations.

A total of 9 participants - Officers from the Armed Forces and employees of the Ministry of Defence - took part in this activity, coming from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The aim was to improve participants' skills, with emphasis on the Peace Support Operations.

This activity highlights the continued cooperation and strong ties between Greece and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in promoting peace, stability, and international security.

From October 20 to October 24, 2025, the MPSOTC, under the auspices of the European Security and Defence College (ESDC), conducted the “Integrated Border Management (IBM)” Course.
This program aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of IBM concepts within CSDP missions and operations.

The training combined a series of informative lectures with practical workshops, allowing participants to engage with core themes such as interagency cooperation, best practices, and the key aspects of IBM documentation.

The course brought together 19 professionals from seven different countries, offering a unique opportunity to develop and enhance their border management skills and align them with CSDP standards. The diverse group benefited from the exchange of experiences and insights, with a strong focus on collaborative problem-solving and practical application in the complex/multidimensional field of border security.

As an active member of the ESDC’s academic network, MPSOTC remains committed to delivering cutting-edge training, in partnership with International Organizations, to address the evolving challenges in Border Management and Security. This course is part of MPSOTC’s ongoing efforts to ensure that its training programs stay relevant and effective in tackling contemporary security issues and challenges.

Successful Completion of the Strategic Communications Course at Hellenic MPSOTC.

From 06 to 17 October 2025, the Multinational Peace Support Operations Training Center (MPSOTC) successfully conducted the “Strategic Communications Course,” fully aligned with NATO’s communication policy and standards.

🔹 36 participants from 15 countries enhanced their understanding of strategic communication principles through theoretical presentations and practical exercises in syndicate work.

🔹 The course provided valuable insights and tools for effectively applying strategic communication within operational contexts.
