The Athens Zine Bibliotheque is a library about zines and small editions, based in Athens. Founded in November 2014 and curated by the team These Are A Few Of Our Favorite Things in the context of Traces of Commerce ΙΙ*. The library collects more than 300+ titles of zines and editions by small independent publishers (comics, music, design etc) from around the world, relative mags and books. E

veryone interested in zines is welcome to come and read the collection, search on the online archive, participate in the Athens Zine Bibliotheque‘s activities (workshops, lectures, presentations, monthly zine of the Gallery of Merchants & more) or/and send/bring us her/his zine.

*The Athens Zine Bibliotheque is one of the 11 projects that were chosen by Traces of Commerce ΙΙ. These Are A Few Of Our Favorite Things are:

Η Athens Zine Bibliotheque είναι μια βιβλιοθήκη για φανζίνς και μικρές ανεξάρτητες εκδόσεις, με έδρα την Αθήνα.

Δημιουγήθηκε τον Νοέμβριο του 2014 από την ομάδα These Are A Few Of Our Favorite Things, στο πλαίσιο της πρωτοβουλίας Traces of Commerce II*.
Η βιβλιοθήκη αριθμεί 300+ διαφορετικούς και ποικίλης θεματολογίας τίτλους από zines και ανεξάρτητες εκδόσεις, από όλον τον κόσμο, όπως κόμικς, πολιτικά, μουσικά, γραφιστικά, καλλιτεχνικά κ.ά., καθώς και σχετικό υποστηρικτικό υλικό, όπως περιοδικά και βιβλία.
Οποιοσδήποτε μπορεί να έρθει να διαβάσει το υλικό της στον χώρο μας, να αναζητήσει zines στο online αρχείο, να συμμετάσχει στις διαστηριότητες της (εργαστήρια για fanzines, ομιλίες, παρουσίάσεις κτλ), ή/και να προσθέσει/αποστείλει το zine του στη συλλογή μας.

Hello all, long time no see!

Tomorrow, Sunday, March 29, from 14:00 to 16:00, we will be volunteering our time to present the open workshop “Her Gaze” (first-come, first-served) as part of WOW – Women of the World – Athens. This four-day festival is organised by and aims to empower women and femininities of today and tomorrow.

Drum-roll, please! This is the list of the participating zines in this year’s exhibition. Visit us at the new school of Kastro village, from Friday 25/7 to Monday 28/7 (19:30-23:00) and browse through the pages of 200+ zines and editions from all around the world. A rare experience at Sikinos island.

After 6 years, our zine exhibition at island is relocated from the yard of the old school of Kastro (will be a museum, soon), right across, to the yard of the new school. The new school has some great lights, plenty of space to sit and read the zines from the and last but not least, one of the best views of the sunset while at Sikinos. Great times ahead. See you there from Friday 25/7 to Monday 28/7, 19:30-23:00.
