SRLS Student Loan Application Webinar

The Students Revolving Loan Scheme SRLS- The Gambia (SRLS) will host a webinar to guide prospective applicants through the first student loan application cycle.

The live session will provide a detailed walkthrough of the application process, required supporting documents applicant will need, guarantor requirements and key resources available to applicants throughout the application period.

The webinar will also provide an opportunity for prospective applicants to ask questions and receive direct support from the team.

Are you a prospective applicant for the SRLS First Loan Application Cycle?

Here are 4 things you need to know before applying:

1️⃣ Who can apply?
2️⃣ What documents do you need?
3️⃣ Have you prepared your guarantors?
4️⃣ Who is a guarantor?

Read through the information carefully and start preparing now. Get your documents ready and speak to your guarantors early to make sure they understand the requirements and have the necessary documents.

NOTE: Applications will be submitted online through the SRLS Portal, which will go live on 15 September 2026.

Understanding Eligibility for the First Student Loan Application Cycle

Earlier today on QTV’s This Morning Show, Mr. Muhammed Lenn, Director of Programmes, Research & Stakeholder Engagement at , outlined the key eligibility requirements for the first student loan application cycle.

To be eligible, applicants must:

- Be Gambian citizens aged 18 years or above

- Have admission to an accredited undergraduate programme at one of the four public universities: Civil Service University (CSU); University of Education, The Gambia (UEG); University of Applied Science, Engineering and Technology (USET) and The University of The Gambia (UTG)

- Meet the minimum academic requirements of their admitting institution

- Proof of Address

- A Valid Certificate of Character

- Working applicants must declare relevant employment and income information

- Demonstrate a need for financial support

- Have both a primary and secondary guarantor

Further information on the documents and supporting information required for the application will be shared ahead of the opening of applications.
