The National Agency Against Trafficking in Persons (NAATIP) received a generous donation of essential items from the Child & Environment Development Association the Gambia (CEDAG), presented by its National Coordinator, Mr. Morris I.O. Anyim, to support vulnerable victims under the Agency's care.
Speaking during the presentation, Mr. Morris I.O. Anyim thanked the Executive Director and the management of NAATIP for creating an enabling environment for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to contribute meaningfully to the fight against trafficking in persons. He reaffirmed CEDAG commitment to continuing its partnership with NAATIP and supporting initiatives aimed at protecting vulnerable children, women, and communities.
Receiving the items on behalf of NAATIP, the Executive Director, Mrs. Isatou Dabo, warmly welcomed the gesture and expressed her profound appreciation to CEDAG for its continued commitment to supporting victims of trafficking and other vulnerable persons. She noted that the donated items will go a long way in addressing the immediate needs of beneficiaries and enhancing their wellbeing.
Mrs. Dabo further described CEDAG as a natural partner in the fight against trafficking in persons, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between government institutions and civil society organizations in protecting vulnerable populations and providing assistance to victims.
NAATIP remains grateful for the unwavering support of its partners and stakeholders whose contributions continue to strengthen victim protection, rehabilitation, and reintegration efforts across The Gambia.
