Minister of Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, made an unannounced visit to the Osu Taxpayers Service Centre (TSC) on Monday, December 8, 2025, accompanied by Top Management of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA). The visit aimed to boost revenue mobilisation efforts and encourage staff to meet their targets. Dr. Forson pledged to approve bonuses for Staff who meet their goals and emphasised the importance of improving compliance and reducing Ghana’s reliance on tax increases.

GRA cracks down on major smuggling attempts. Over 9,000 jerry cans of cooking oil seized in Tema, with rice, sugar, beverages, tomato paste and clothing intercepted at Aflao for misclassification and duty evasion.

Commissioner-General Anthony Kwasi Sarpong stated at a press conference that the joint operations with National Security protected GH¢3.6 million in revenue.
