On Sunday, 02/02/2020, Hon. Alex Martey, the Parliamentary candidate for Ningo-Prampram constituency in the ticket of NPP was invited by the Presbyterian Church at Old Ningo to worship with them, together with Ningo Traditional council led by Nene Atiapa Kanor II, the acting president of Ningo Traditional council.
The church celebrated their annual traditional week and climax it on Sunday which brought together all and sundry including traditional leaders of Ningo Traditional council, the NPP Parliamentary candidate, the District Chief Executive of Ningo Prampram and NPP members to worship and were nicely dressed in their traditional attire to reflect the occasion and din with assorted traditional cuisine to showcase how important and delicious our local food is and the culture as well. Hon. Alex Martey, thanked the leaders of the church by given him such opportunity to be part of the traditional week celebration and applauded the church for the integration of tradition into the church service.
Also, Hon. Alex Martey used the occasion to touch on the upcoming EC registration exercise slated to take effect on April,18 this year and urged them to take the exercise very serious. This is because, through the registration exercise that will determine the faith of the Constituency Ningo Traditional council is seeking for and ultimately the District. He added, when the constituency is divided into two, it will accelerate development for the two traditional areas which are; Ningo and Prampram.
Again, Hon. Alex Martey was touched by the sermon the Rev. Minister preached. He said, most of the things said by the preacher was true about the conduct of some politicians however, not every politician does that.
