Sekondi MP Commissions ‘Sekunde Nsu’ Sachet Water Project

The Member of Parliament for Sekondi, Nyameke Blay Armah, has commissioned the Sekunde Nsu Sachet Water Project to support important social interventions in the constituency.

The project is designed to generate funds to support initiatives such as free exercise books for students, free bus services to help ease transportation challenges, and other community support programs.

In addition to supporting these interventions, the Sekunde Nsu initiative is expected to create jobs for people in the constituency. From production and packaging to distribution and sales, many individuals will have the opportunity to earn a living through this project.

Speaking at the event, the MP reaffirmed his commitment to improving the lives of his constituents through practical and sustainable initiatives that directly benefit the constituency.

The project is expected to make a meaningful difference by supporting education, creating jobs, and improving livelihoods across Sekondi.

Hon. Nyameke Blay Armah Transforms Healthcare in Sekondi Zongo

Today, 17th February 2026, Hon. Nyameke Blay Armah, MP for Sekondi, donated GH₵600,000 of life-saving medical equipment to the Sekondi Zongo CHPS Compound, bringing quality healthcare closer to families in the area.

The donation includes blood pressure monitors, stethoscopes, microscopes, and weighing scales, as well as delivery beds, CTG machines, fetal dopplers, and radiant warmers. It also provides oxygen concentrators, nebulizers, resuscitation sets, autoclaves, and an ultrasound machine, giving health workers the tools they need to save lives and provide care that is faster, safer, and more reliable.

This support will help health workers treat mothers, children, and patients locally, reducing the need for referrals to distant hospitals and ensuring families receive care when and where they need it most.

HON. BLAY NYAMEKE ARMAH VISITS SEKONDI MARKET AFTER FATAL COLLAPSE

The Member of Parliament for Sekondi, Hon. Blay Nyameke Armah, today visited the Sekondi Market to assess the extent of destruction following the partial collapse of some portions of the market on Monday.

Tragically, the incident injured a market woman who later passed away at the hospital. Hon. Armah expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family and the entire Sekondi Market community for their loss.

During his visit, he interacted with affected traders and market leaders to better understand their challenges and immediate needs. He described the incident as “a painful reminder of the urgent need to rebuild the Sekondi Market into a safe and modern trading centre.”

Hon. Armah made a passionate appeal to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic, and the Minister for Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, to prioritize the construction of a new market for the people of Sekondi.

He reaffirmed his commitment to working with relevant authorities to ensure that immediate relief is provided to affected traders and that plans for a lasting solution are set in motion.
