So on 25th February, two criminals traveled from Accra to Atebubu. Their mission?, well they had been contracted by one criminal who was serving 77years for armed robbery at Ankaful prisons...to go and unalive the Queen of Abama.

The woman was a queen of a town close to atebubu but she operated a chopbar at atebubu. Few days before her murder, she had won a court case of a land she was fighting over with one chief in another town which is also close to atebubu.

After work on that fateful day, she got home late and just when she entered her home, the criminals shot her six times, killing her instantly. The assailants then went back to their hotel in atebubu, slept for the night and embarked on their journey back to Accra the next day.
Job successfully executed.

Atebubu Police began their investigations into the murder.

On 14th of May, Kasoa police got intelligence of an armed robbery gang planning to carry out robbery operation. Police moved in to arrest them.
While investigating them, one of the robbers told the kasoa police that he wants to make a confession because he's being haunted by a ghost of someone they have murdered.

He then told police about the Queen who had been killed in Atebubu and even pointed to their gang leader as the one who pulled the trigger. This gang leader just came out of prison after serving a 15years term.

They all confirmed their involvement and this is where the story gets interesting.

The gang leader now pointed to the prisoner at Ankaful prisons as the one who gave them the atebubu job. He went on to say that the criminal at Ankaful was given the job by the chief who was fighting over the land with the Queen.

But since the "head of operations" was serving a prison term, he commissioned them to carry out the operation in Atebubu on his behalf, after which they'll all share the money the chief agreed to pay.

Now, the chief had paid 40,000gh of the money remaining just 10,000gh(50,000gh). But after the killing was done, the chief refused to pay the balance. All efforts to retrieve the arrears proved futile.

Then police quickly located the said chief at his residence in kumasi.

Upon being confronted with the facts, he offered to bribe the police with an amount of 200,000gh, of which he advanced 100,000gh to them just in his house. The police arrested him, with the money being used as evidence.

TikToker Aminat Mahama has been granted GH¢1 million bail with two sureties, including a civil servant earning not less than GH¢5,000 monthly.

She is also required to deposit her passport or Ghana Card with the police and report regularly to investigators.

She needs to face the law because during NPP era we saw more than this.

WESTERN NORTH REGIONAL DIRECTORATE LAUNCHES ITS ANNUAL TVET SENSITIZATION PROGRAM IN JUABOSO DISTRICT

The Western North Regional Directorate of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) has officially launched its annual sensitization and career guidance outreach program for Junior High School students in form two and three. This initiative is part of the Directorate's action plan aimed at increasing enrollment in the TVET pathway by the end of 2026.

The sensitization was led by the Acting Regional Director Mr. Isaac Kojo Abiaw with support from the District GES office, the team made a significant impact during the first phase of the program, which took place with participants from fifteen different junior high schools within the Juaboso District.

The interactive engagement focused specifically on the importance of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
During the first session, the Regional Deputy Director delivered an insightful presentation emphasizing the mandate of the Ghana TVET Service. The presentation highlighted the significance of TVET in Ghana's development, outlined the available TVET institutes across the 16 regions of Ghana, and detailed the courses offered as well as the benefits these courses provide to Ghanaian youth in combating unemployment in the country.

Additionally, the presentation explained the TVET computerized school selection placement system and included video examples from developed countries that showcase how they utilize TVET from basic to pre-tertiary levels for nation-building.

To encourage and motivate active participants, we distributed souvenirs such as exercise books and pens to students who answered questions during the sessions.

The Western North TVET Directorate is dedicated to empowering and inspiring the next generation to transform Ghana by developing a skilled labor force aimed at reducing the country's high unemployment rate.
