Wildlife crime poses a grave threat, not just to animals, but to our shared future. It undermines ecosystems, fuels corruption, and deprives communities of their natural heritage. From elephants to pangolins, countless species face extinction due to poaching and illegal trade.

Combating wildlife crime requires a united front. Governments, organizations, and individuals must collaborate to strengthen law enforcement, reduce demand for illegal wildlife products, and empower local communities to protect their natural resources. Education and awareness are also crucial to fostering a culture of conservation.

By working together, we can create a future where wildlife thrives, ecosystems flourish, and communities benefit from the sustainable use of natural resources. Let's stand united against wildlife crime for our common future.

Let’s take a pledge to uphold the principles of wildlife conservation and responsible hunting practices from 1st August 2025 to 1st December 2025. A win today is a win for our Future generation.

The close season ( ban on hunting, capturing or destroying of wild animals) is a crucial period in Ghana, designed to protect vulnerable wildlife populations. During this time, hunting of certain species is restricted or prohibited, allowing them to breed and recover from the pressures of the hunting season. This is especially important for animals like grasscutters, antelopes, and other wild animals that are often targeted for food.

The close season helps to ensure the long-term survival of these species by preventing over-exploitation. It also supports the health of the ecosystem by maintaining biodiversity and the ecological roles that these animals play.

By respecting the close season, we contribute to the conservation of Ghana's wildlife and help safeguard the natural heritage for future generations.
NOTE : All forms of hunting are hereby banned from the 1st of AUGUST to the 1st of DECEMBER 2025.❌‼️‼️
