All thirteen (13) branches of the NDC in the Middle Belt of the Lower Manya Krobo Constituency have each received a heavy-duty four-tyre Aboboya truck to ease the transportation of farm produce.
The presentation was made by Hon. Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi, Member of Parliament for the constituency, during a brief ceremony held at Lassi Park.
In addition to the trucks, the Hon. MP donated six (6) laptops to tertiary students to support their academic work. Five (5) women from the constituency also received chest freezers, bringing the total number of freezers distributed so far to 140, all aimed at supporting women-led businesses.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Terlabi explained that the provision of the 13 heavy-duty Aboboya trucks each costing GHC 60,000.00 was necessary to address the transportation challenges faced by farmers in rural communities. He noted that many farmers struggle to move their produce to market centers due to poor road conditions.
He further assured constituents that, in collaboration with the Assembly, efforts are ongoing to improve the road network. He emphasized his commitment to continuing support initiatives that will enhance the livelihoods of the people.
Also addressing the gathering, Hon. John Atteh Matey, Municipal Chief Executive for Lower Manya Krobo, commended the MP for his continuous support, noting that it has significantly eased his work at the Assembly.
He further urged party members and constituents to rally behind their leaders as they work diligently to fulfill their mandate.
