VIVID DREAMS— Bringing Color and Hope to the Volta School for the Deaf & Blind, Hohoe

What started as a dream has become a beautiful reality!

The Volta Creative Arts Foundation, Volta Creative Arts Industry, in collaboration with KMAFEST and the Vivid Dreams Project, has transformed our campus through the painting of 34 classroom blocks and creative empowerment workshops for our students.

Over 10 incredible days (23rd Sept – 3rd Oct), our classrooms came alive with color, energy, and purpose.
Students learned bead making, crocheting, and pencil art, discovering new ways to express themselves and build skills for the future.

The initiative, led by Samuel Etornam Kwasi Lavoe, founder of Volta Creative Arts Foundation, reflects a shared mission:

“To make the world a better place by empowering the less privileged to create, earn, and thrive.”

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to:
💫 Volta Creative Arts Foundation
💫 KMAFEST
💫 Finest Paints for the supplies
💫 Vivid Dreams Volunteers who shared their time and talents

Together, we are proving that art can change lives.

The lack of knowledge on menstruation is one of several factors that keep girls from going to school during their menstrual cycle. On top of that, there is a practical reason for girls to stay inside during their period: most of them cannot afford sanitary pads.

We are grateful to Ghana National Association of the Deaf - GNAD for their support! The GNAD distributed sanitary pads to our female students.

The distribution of products was to help girls meet their needs as they went through their menstrual cycle, especially in rural communities where they could not afford sanitary pads.

Thank you GNAD!

Congratulations Class of 2022! We wish you all the best on your next chapter!
