The Civil Society Platform on Oil and Gas (CSPOG) in Ghana as part of its on-going 2016 Elections project in collaboration with GOGIG has embarked on a number of activities including analsying and publishing a report on the Oil and Gas Sector in Ghana. Political parties have been engaged of the findings of this analysis.

The Platform has also analysed all the policy commitment of 4 main political parties in Ghana with respect to how each of them intend to manage the sector should they come into office. The key aim is to allow the Ghanaian public to peruse the various commitments and vote for the best proposal. An official announcement will be made on the best proposal prior to the General elections on Monday 5th December.

Whichever party wins the elections, would be engaged in the post-election phase of the project and held accountable to the pledges made in the run up to the elections.
