Subject: Update on Payment of NSS Monthly Allowance

📍In the early hours of today, Wednesday, 3rd July 2024, the leadership of Volta and Oti Regional NASPA, as part of its plans to channel their grievances in regards with delay of allowance payment sent a delegation to the office of the Regional Director- Mr. Ambrose Entsiwah Jnr.

📍The delegation consisted of the executive members of the association, under the leadership of H. E. Nelson Eli Paramount- the Volta/Oti Regional President.

📍 All grievances and challenges were tabled before the Regional Director most especially, the delay of payment of monthly allowances which has caused a lot of uneasiness in the ranks of our association.

📍In addressing the delay of the allowance and when payment will be made, the Regional Director stated that the scheme through the ministry of finance and the controller accountant general as of Monday 1st July, 2024 has issued the allowances to Ghipss, awaiting disbursement into the e-zwich cards of all National Service Personnel across the nation.

📍In addition, the Regional Director is stating stated clearly that the allowances will reflect on our e-zwich cards in the next 48 hours which will be Friday 5th July, 2024.

📍We are all to note that allowance for month of April has been made available and undergoing processing and disbursement with Ghipss.

📍In view of this, the Volta/Oti Regional NASPA leadership and the Regional Director is entreating all members to exercise patience as their allowance for the month of April will reflect within the next 48hours.

NOTE:
📍NASPA has not declared strike so the leadership is urging all members to be at post tomorrow while we await the allowance to reflect.

The Regional Director Hon. Ambrose Entsiwah Jnr. In the company of Mrs. Anastasia, Miss. Jemima Yempaka, Mr. Filson Director South Tongu, Mr. Edmund Director Akatsi North, Miss. Deborah Director Ketu North, Mr. Abotsi Reg. Financial sec., Mr. Adenyo Reg. P.R.O, MR. Anaba vice president Ketu North and Miss. Emefa Wocom Ketu North in the early hours of yesterday 29th July paid their last respect to the late Mr. WILLIE ANDREAS KWAKUTSE Amegbletor former Regional NSS Director.

Hon. Ambrose Jnr. in his tribute reading acknowledges the hard work and dedication of the late Mr. WILLIE to NSS and mention this effort in encouraging the construction of some affordable housing project for the benefit of personnels posted to the region and his initiative in mentorship program for the personnels.

The family of the late Mr. WILLIE expressed their profound gratitude to the scheme for the donation and also appropriates the presence of the scheme for showing their support even in his absence.

The Regional President Master Paramount and his executives wishes to express their gratitude to all who made it to the funeral and all who support in the little way they could.

As we run the good course of service to our country we may we always remember that we are together and unified.
