Drilling for Hope Hands Over Borehole to Nayorigo D/A Primary School and Community
In a colourful and heartfelt ceremony, Drilling for Hope, a charitable organization based in the United States, officially handed over a newly constructed borehole to the Nayorigo D/A Primary School and the surrounding community in B**go District.
The event was graced by the District Chief Executive of B**go, Hon. Joseph Akasake Abaa, who joined Madam Craig Higgins and her team from Drilling for Hope to perform the official handover.
The provision of the borehole marks a significant milestone for both the school and the Nayorigo community, providing a reliable source of clean and safe drinking water for pupils and residents alike.
In addition to the borehole, the team also presented exercise books and a football to the school, they also planted trees within the school premises which further demonstrates their commitment to holistic community development.
Speaking on behalf of the school and the community, the Head Teacher of Nayorigo Primary Basic School, Mr. Akuribire Moses Atingane, expressed profound gratitude to Drilling for Hope and the DCE for their timely support.
โWe are extremely gratefufor this life-changing intervention. Access to clean water has always been a challenge for both the school and the community. This borehole brings us great relief and will improve the health and well-being of our pupils and residents,โ he said.
The DCE, Hon. Joseph Akasake Abaa, commended Drilling for Hope for their unwavering commitment to improving lives through developmental projects. He also urged the community to take ownership of the facility and ensure its proper maintenance for long-term sustainability.
The event concluded with cultural performances and a demonstration of the boreholeโs operation, much to the delight of the schoolchildren and community members in attendance.
