CONGRATULATIONS & HEARTY WELCOME TO OSMAN ABDULAI AYARIGA, ESQ.

Congratulations to Mr. Osman Abdulai Ayariga on his appointment as the new CEO of the National Youth Authority (NYA)!

We, the staff of NYA and the youth in Upper East, are thrilled to welcome you to this new role. Your impressive background as an engineer and lawyer makes you an excellent fit for this position.

We are grateful to His Excellency, John Dramani Mahama, for this appointment and for recognizing the importance of youth development in our nation.

As a native of the Upper East Region, we are excited to see how your leadership will impact the region and the youth at large. We have high expectations that your expertise will help resource the NYA for effective youth development work.

NYA TRAINS 140 YOUTH ON THE USE OF SPORTS FOR DEVELOPMENT.

The Bolgatatnga Municipal Directorate of the National Youth Authority, in the Upper East Region, under the Gulf of Guinne Northern Regions Social Cohesion (SOCO) Project, has organized a two-day training workshop, to equip 140 youth with skills in how to leverage on sports as tools for social development.

The training which focused on empowering youth leaders with skills and strategies to foster inclusive participation through soccer, also aims to promote social change and address issues of discrimination and gender inequality as part of the SOCO Project being implemented in the 15 Municipal/District Assemblies in the Upper East Region.

Facilitators were drawn from various agencies in the Upper East Region, including the National Sports Authority, the National Peace Council.

The two-day workshop ends today.
