🚨 CONCERNS OVER STREETLIGHT MAINTENANCE IN ATEBUBU-AMANTIN MUNICIPALITY🚨

The constituents are unhappy that most streetlights across the municipality are currently not working, despite a reported maintenance project costing GH₵436,507.27 from the DACF.

Reports that some photocells were removed and the openings covered with adhesive tape also raise serious concerns that require investigation.

As NPP members, we call on the Municipal Assembly to explain the situation, ensure accountability, and restore the streetlights for the safety and benefit of our people.

The concerns of the constituents must not be ignored. Atebubu-Amantin deserves answers!

24-HOUR ECONOMY MODEL MARKET AT AMANTIN: WHAT IS CAUSING THE DELAY?

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Atebubu-Amantin is raising concerns on behalf of the constituents over the apparent delay in the construction of the 24-Hour Economy Model Market at Amantin.

The current state of the project, as shown in the pictures, raises important questions about the pace of construction and when the people can realistically expect to benefit from this facility.

According to the available information, the project has an allocated amount of GH₵5,353,055.53, funded through the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF). The proposed market is expected to include a police post, a fire service post, a daycare centre, and a clinic—facilities that could provide significant benefits to the people of Amantin and surrounding communities.

However, with concerns about the pace of work and expectations that the project will be completed before the 2028 general elections, constituents deserve clear and timely answers.

As the NPP in Atebubu-Amantin, we stand with the people and call on the relevant authorities to address these critical questions:

1. What is responsible for the apparent delay in the construction of this important project?
2. What percentage of the project has been completed so far?
3. How much of the allocated GH₵5,353,055.53 has been released and utilised?
4. What is the officially approved completion date, and what concrete steps are being taken to meet it?

Our concern is not merely about the construction of a market; it is about the timely delivery of public infrastructure that can improve livelihoods, create opportunities, and provide essential services to our communities.

The people of Atebubu-Amantin deserve more than promises. They deserve transparency, accountability, and a clear explanation of the project's progress.

The NPP in Atebubu-Amantin stands with the constituents in asking these legitimate questions. We call on the relevant authorities to provide answers, explain the delay, and give the people a credible timeline for completion.

PUBLIC FUNDS. PUBLIC PROJECTS. PUBLIC ACCOUNTABILITY.

GH₵300,000 ON AN ASSEMBLY HALL: THE PEOPLE OF ATEBUBU-AMANTIN DESERVE JUSTICE!

As the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Atebubu-Amantin, we demand accountability over the reported GH₵300,000 expenditure on the rehabilitation and furnishing of the Municipal Assembly Hall.

The project, which has reportedly been completed, involved painting the building, tiling the floor, installing four air conditioners, and providing 45 wooden chairs.

Our concern is simple: Does the amount spent reflect value for money?

At a time when our constituents continue to demand better roads, improved healthcare, quality education, and access to essential social amenities, the people have every right to question how public funds are spent.

We acknowledge the importance of maintaining public facilities. However, completing a project does not exempt it from public scrutiny. The NDC-led administration must be prepared to account for the expenditure, demonstrate transparency in the procurement process, and provide a detailed breakdown of the actual costs.

We are not making allegations of wrongdoing; we are demanding answers on behalf of the people whose contributions and public resources must be managed responsibly.

The people of Atebubu-Amantin deserve more than completed projects; they deserve transparency, fairness, and value for every cedi spent.

The NPP will continue to demand accountability in the public interest. The GH₵300,000 question must be answered!

🚨 ATEBUBU-AMANTIN DESERVES ANSWERS! 🚨

Three months to rehabilitate. Nearly one year later, the work remains incomplete!

The Atebubu-Amantin Municipal Assembly Administration Block was scheduled for rehabilitation within three months, yet nearly a year later, the project remains unfinished.

💰 Reported Project Amount: GH₵1,350,000.00
🏦 Source of Funding: District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF)
📚 Source: Atebubu-Amantin Municipal Assembly, 2026 Proposed Composite Budget.

The NDC government must answer some important questions:

❓ Why has the project exceeded its scheduled completion period?

❓ What is the current status of the GH₵1.35 million project?

❓ When will the people of Atebubu-Amantin finally see the completed administration block?

Ghanaians deserve answers, not excuses. Public funds must deliver public results!

The people of Atebubu-Amantin deserve transparency, accountability, and value for money.
