Managing Director of Saka Homes, Kwadwo Saka Addo-Mensah, has partnered with the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) to construct a modern two-storey student dormitory at Achimota School.
The project, valued at GH¢18,702,819.08, is expected to provide accommodation for 250 students, helping to address the growing accommodation challenges facing one of Ghana’s premier second-cycle institutions.
The initiative forms part of broader efforts to improve learning conditions and enhance access to quality education by providing adequate residential facilities for students.
Speaking on the project, Mr. Kwadwo Saka Addo-Mensah emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships in supporting national development, particularly within the education sector.
Also addressing the media, Mr. Alexis K. Asuinura, Financial Controller of GETFund, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership and commended the swift collaboration between GETFund and Saka Homes.
He highlighted the significance of the project in addressing accommodation deficits in senior high schools and praised the commitment of the private sector in supporting educational development.
The Administrator of GETFund, Mr. Paul Adjei however received the donation on behalf of GETFund.
