YOUTH CRISIS AWARENESS AND PEACE FORUM – GHANA CHAPTER (YCAPG –GH ) CONDEMNS XENOPHOBIC ATTACKS IN SOUTH AFRICA

We are at YCAPF – GH unequivocally condemns the recent attack on foreigners in South Africa.

Violence against migrants in South Africa, especially from other African countries, resulting in casualties, debilitating injuries, looting and destruction of businesses and properties as very unfortunate. Fear and uncertainty has gripped the nation due to the total impunity for perpetrators and slow action of law enforcement.

Reports of retaliatory attacks that have taken place in Nigeria and Kenya thus continue to fragment the spirit of togetherness and African Unity. The African Ubuntu Philosophy states that a person is a person through other persons. We need other human beings in order to be human. YCAPF - GH strongly advocate for peace , tolerance and unity . We pray a quick resolution in the unfortunate happenings.

May we espouse the values of the unity and the spirit of brotherly love and embrace peace and togetherness.
