Despite a robust legal and institutional framework, corruption continues to undermine public trust, service delivery, and national development.

Where is the disconnect, and how do we fix it?

In this Episode, we will take a critical look at one of Ghana’s most pressing governance challenges, the persistent gap between anti-corruption laws and their enforcement.

Our guest, Mrs. Mary Addah, will help us unpack the topic:

Today, some ladies of the Commission proudly wore vibrant African prints as they came together for group photographs in celebration and in anticipation of Mothers’ Day.🌸

Beyond the beautiful fabrics and colours, today was about celebrating the dedication, and impact of women in the workplace and in society. Our African prints symbolise identity, pride, heritage, the beauty of an African woman and values we carry with confidence and purpose every day.

These moments were captured not just to celebrate Mothers’ Day, but to honour the women who continue to serve, lead, nurture, and inspire through their work and presence. πŸ’

On Wednesday, 29 April 2026, the Commission received a courtesy call from the All Region Queen Mothers Association, led by Nana Otubea II, Paramount Queen Mother of the Nkonya Traditional Area. The visit provided an opportunity for meaningful engagement on issues affecting Queen Mothers across Ghana.

Discussions centered on the implementation of the Affirmative Action (Gender Equity) Act, 2024 (Act 1121), as well as concerns regarding the continued exclusion of Queen Mothers from decision-making processes within the Regional and National Houses of Chiefs. The delegation highlighted the need to address persistent discrimination and ensure fair representation of women in leadership.

The Association called on CHRAJ, as Ghana’s National Human Rights Institution and a member of the Gender Equity Committee, to support efforts to promote inclusion and protect the rights of women in traditional and national governance structures.

πŸŽ₯ 7th Episode of CHRAJ and You

Child labour is not just about children working, it is about children being denied their right to education, safety, and a full childhood.

In this episode, we go beyond the surface to unpack what child labour truly means in Ghana, and where the line is drawn between acceptable child work and harmful labour that puts a child’s health, development, and future at risk.

We will explore:

πŸ”Ή Where we draw the line between acceptable child work and child labour
πŸ”Ή What the law says about protecting children
πŸ”Ή The hidden and visible forms of child labour
πŸ”Ή Why it persistsβ€”and who must take responsibility
πŸ”Ή What must change to protect every child

Because every child deserves more than survival, they deserve a safe childhood, an education, and a fair chance at life.
