Rev. Ing. Edmund Y. Fianko Urges Journalists to Safeguard Trust and Ethics in the Digital Age

The Director General of the National Communications Authority (NCA), Rev. Ing. Edmund Yirenkyi Fianko, has urged journalists and media practitioners to safeguard public trust by upholding the principles of accuracy, fairness, accountability and verification as digital technologies continue to transform the media landscape.

He made the call at the Ghana Journalists Association’s (GJA) 77th Anniversary Symposium held at the British Council in Accra, under the theme, “Building on Our Legacy: Advancing Ethical Journalism and Shaping the Future of Digital Media”, on 19th August,2026.

NCA Inaugurates Dispute Resolution Committee

Earlier Today, the Board Chair of the National Communications Authority (NCA), Ms. Mavis A. Ampah, has inaugurated a twelve-member Dispute Resolution Committee (DRC) at the NCA Tower to facilitate the amicable resolution of disputes among stakeholders within the industry.

As part of activities commemorating the 30th Anniversary celebrations of the National Communications Authority (NCA), a Staff Games and Fun Day was held at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, Legon on 15th August, 2026. The event brought together staff from the Head Office and Regional offices across the country for a day of sporting activities, recreation and team building — building bridges across divisions, generations and distances that do not always get the opportunity to connect.
