๐Ÿ•ธ๏ธ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ญ TONIGHT at e-Ananse โ€” Live with Ko-Jo Cue

There are some conversations that begin with a song. This evening, e-Ananse invites you into one of those conversations.

In partnership with Songs in Conversation, join us for an intimate evening with Ghanaian rapper and storyteller Ko-Jo Cue, as we explore the songs, stories, ideas, and experiences behind the music.

Ko-Jo Cue has built a body of work that moves comfortably between the personal and the culturalโ€”between sharp observation, vulnerability, humour, memory, and the realities of contemporary Ghanaian life. This conversation is an opportunity to slow down and listen differently: not only to the songs themselves, but to the worlds that produced them.

๐Ÿ•ธ๏ธ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ญ We were honoured to host the Adinkra Poetry Prize 2026, celebrating the voices, stories, and imagination shaping poetry in Ghana today.

Congratulations to the winner and all the finalists whose words and work continue to push the craft forward.
Spaces like these are important for Ghanaโ€™s poetry culture. They give poets room to connect with audiences, share their work, and create opportunities for new voices to emerge.

In partnership with Adinkra Poetry Prize, we look forward to the upcoming poetry workshops.

๐Ÿ•ธ๏ธ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ญ e-Xcerpt Friday Dr. Artika Tyner

We were delighted to host Dr. Artika Tyner, author of Justice Makes a Difference, for a live reading at e-Ananse.

About the book:

Justice has grown up witnessing the many ways her grandma serves the community. She wants to make a difference in the world too, but how? Isnโ€™t she too young?

Through conversations with her grandma and their shared love of books, Justice learns about important women and men throughout history who changed the world: Ella Baker, Shirley Chisholm, Charles Hamilton Houston, Dr. Wangari Maathai, Paul Robeson, and Ida B. Wells.

Justice learns how each leader was a champion for advancing justice and improving the world, and she dreams of becoming a changemaker tooโ€”โ€œMiss Freedom Fighter, Esquire,โ€ a superhero with a law degree and an Afro!
