The Shai Hills Resource Reserve held it's annual management forum, on 4th February, 2026, with management members and Unit heads in attendance.
The forum, provided a platform for Unit heads to present their achievements and challenges from the previous year, as well as outline their outlook for 2026.
The Park Manager, Mr. Prince Anane Agyei, speaking on behalf of Dr. Joseph Boakye Esq., Executive Director of the Wildlife Division, expressed appreciation to Management Members for their dedication and hard work.
Highlighting, the Reserve’s success in the year 2025, it recorded a total number of 78,215 visitor arrivals, both nationals and Non-nationals, driving a 14% boost in revenue.
The Reserve undertook a total of five hudred and two (502) patrols, resulting in 8 arrests, to protect it's integrity from illegal activities. Additionally, thirty-three (33) communities and forty-two (42) basic schools received education on Wildlife conservation.
In staff development, the Reserve held it's inaugural HR Summit which focused on health and financial literacy for employees.
Closing the forum, the Park Manager, admonished staff to brace themselves to work harder this year, emphasizing the need for continued efforts to achieve the division’s objectives.
