Ghana Association of Social Workers (GASOW) is national social work professional body registered under professional bodies Act of Ghana with membership from divers backgrounds (Private and public institutions) including professionals in the academia.Our members are from practicing social workers in the Local government service, Ministry of Gender (Dept of social welfare, Dept of children, LEAP secretariate,), national and international NPOs, police service, prisons and many other state and non state institutions including Corporate bodies.

We exist to promote professional recognition of social work, advocate for justice for all people including, women and children, elderly, persons with disabilities, families, persons in migrant situations and many more. We provide coaching and mentoring of social work professionals to promote high professional standards and ethics. We advocate for social work legislation as a tool for protecting vulnerable groups especially, families and children.

Great to inform all members, stakeholders, partners, friends and collaborators that. Ghana Association of Social Workers had successfully had its Congress in March this year. and elected new set of Executive Committee Committee (NEC) members who will steer the affairs of the association for the next three (3) years.
