Ellen Adokailey Allotey Asomani, a young Ghanaian Midwife and a mother of three (3), she worked with the Tema General Hospital as a Midwifery Officer until her demise .
She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer when she was pregnant with her third and last baby in the year 2019 at the age of 34.
Ellen realised that the disease does not discriminate; irrespective of your profession you can encounter it in any time of your life.
The danger is the ignorance of the signs and symptoms of Breast Cancer and late detection of the disease which is very fatal.
As a Professional Midwife, Ellen planned with her Husband to start a Project on Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign by using her condition as a Case Study to help save other people from the dangers of the disease. Unfortunately her condition deteriorated and she passed on to eternity on 22nd October 2021, two (2) years after her diagnosis.
The Husband together with the Family have decided to honour her memory and keep the dream alive through the Ellen Allotey Memorial Breast Care Foundation which seeks to embark on Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign and offer medical and financial assistance to needy individuals who have been diagnosed with Breast Cancer.
The Foundation will be Inaugurated on 22nd October 2022 and also have a free Breast Screening as part of the activities to commemorate the one year anniversary of the passing of Mrs. Ellen Adokailey Allotey Asomani at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Community 6 - Tema at 12:00pm.
All are invited to come and support this worthy course.
