Today we commemorate the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the 1968 Invasion and the Subsequent Occupation by the Warsaw Pact Troops. This day is dedicated to remembering all, key lives were tragically marked by the events of August 1968. We do not forget. 🕊️

🎉 The Accra phase of our National Community Media Cyber Capacity Building Project under the CyberVAC programme has been successfully completed! ✅

Czech Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Nick Ojo Omorodion met with ACDT Executive Director Kwesi Atuahene to assess progress under the project and to discuss the next steps. 📈📊

Over 6 sessions on Cybercrime, Digital Forensics, Child Online Protection and Critical Information Infrastructure Protection reporting, 50 journalists gained practical skills in accurate and responsible cybercrime reporting, digital safety and public awareness. As knowledge multipliers, they will pass these skills on to colleagues and help the public better recognise and respond to online threats. 💻🛡️

A big thank you to Africa Center for Digital Transformation, Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Cyber Security Authority Ghana and other partners for their dedicated work so far. We look forward to the second phase in Kumasi, Ashanti Region! 🙌🇨🇿🇬🇭

Today, we remember Kofi Annan, a proud son of Ghana, former Secretary-General of the United Nations and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate. 🌍🕊️

His lifelong commitment to peace, dialogue and human dignity continues to inspire people around the world. On this day, we honour his remarkable legacy and the values he stood for. 🇬🇭✨

Tuesday marks eight years since the passing of former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, who was regarded by so many as a guiding force for good.

"We can love what we are, without hating what — and who — we are not. We can thrive in our own tradition, even as we learn from others, and come to respect their teachings," said the former Secretary-General in 2001.

🇨🇿🤝🇬🇭 A promising step towards a safer digital Ghana!

Ambassador Pavel Bílek spoke at the opening ceremony of the Community Media Cyber Literacy Programme, implemented by Africa Center for Digital Transformation - ACDT and supported by Česká rozvojová agentura - CzechAid. 🇨🇿
The initiative will strengthen the ability of community media professionals to raise awareness of cyber risks and promote safer online behaviour. 🛡️💻

Together with Hon Mohammed Adams Sukparu, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, and Divine Selase Agbeti, Director-General of the Cyber Security Authority Ghana, Ambassador Bílek highlighted the essential role of trusted local media in preventing cybercrime and building digitally resilient communities. 🔐📱🌍
