GSFP HOLDS JOINT MONITORING EXERCISE WITH DEVELOPMENT PARTNERS
The National Coordinator of the Ghana School Feeding Programme, Hajia Fati Forgor, has led a high-level delegation from the World Bank and International Monetary Fund on a joint monitoring exercise.
The exercise took place at the Flagstaff House Basic School at Kanda in the Greater Accra Region on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. The School has been on the feeding programme since its inception in September 2005 – 20 solid years!
Other members of the monitoring team included: Adrian Alter, IMF Resident Representative; Robert Chase, Social Policy Manager, West Africa Region, World Bank; Cornelia Tesliuc, GPSNP2 Team Leader, World Bank; Esther Zaharatu Mahama, Director of Operations, GSFP; Akyere Frimpong Manu, Director of M&E, GSFP; and Siiba Alfa, Director of Public Relations, GSFP, as well as other GSFP staff from the Greater Accra Region.
The team had an interactive and engaging session with the Head Teacher of the School, Mrs. Esther Konadu Obiri-Ansu gears towards improving the Programme in the School.
GSFP National Coordinator also enumerated a number of innovative programmes being undertaken by the Programme to strengthen and sustain the Programme.
There were general discussions with the development partners on the current state of the Programme and what our partners can bring on board to support the social intervention programme.
