Standard Chartered Bank Ghana held a collaborative, hands-on training with EOCO teams on Anti-Money Laundering and financial crime.
Instead of theory, they focused on real-world tactics to detect and disrupt illicit money flows in a digital environment, sharing banking expertise with investigative techniques.

The goal: strengthen cooperation to protect Ghana's financial system and make the fight against economic crime more effective.

EOCO ENGAGES GREATER ACCRA MARKET QUEENS ON MARKET SENSITISATION EXERCISE

On Thursday, 10th September 2026, a team from the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) met with the Executives of the Greater Accra Market Association (GAMA) and the Greater Accra Market Queens.
The meeting was to inform them about EOCO's upcoming sensitisation programme in markets across the Greater Accra Region and to seek their support and cooperation for its success.
The team was received by the GAMA Executives led by the Chief Market Queen Mother, Naa Afrowa Dade Padua I (Madam Mercy Naa Afrowa Nee Djan).

The sensitisation campaign will create awareness on emerging crimes such as MoMo fraud, Susu fraud, cyber-related crimes, recruitment fraud, and school placement fraud and educate the public on how to prevent, identify and report them to promote a safer society.
