A stakeholders meeting was held on Tuesday, 4th August 2026 at the Ofankor Church of Pentecost, to deliberate on a peaceful Homowo celebrations. The meeting, was graced by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Akwetey Agbo, Traditional leaders in Ga North, Police enforcement and other important dignitaries.
The meeting aimed to foster harmony and peaceful coexistence among communities within Ga North and to caution all on observing this year's Homowo celebrations peacefully.

On 3rd August 2026, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Akwetey Agbo, presented items to the Traditional Chiefs and Leaders of the Ga communities in the Municipality in support of the celebration of this year's Homowo Festival. The items presented included 25 bags of maize, 40 packs of malt, 50 crates of Heineken, 100 packs of bottled water, 40 containers of palm oil, and 4 boxes of schnapps. The gesture was aimed at supporting the Traditional Authorities in the successful celebration of the Homowo festival while strengthening the cordial relationship between the Municipal Assembly and the Traditional Authorities, and promoting unity, peace, and cultural heritage within the Municipality.
