Intertek Hands Over Gyamurume Iron Ore Sample Test Results to GIISDEC and AEMG

On Thursday, 9 July 2026, Intertek officially handed over the laboratory test results of the Gyamurume iron ore samples to the Ghana Integrated Iron and Steel Development Corporation (GIISDEC) and its partner, AEMG.
The GIISDEC delegation, led by Madam Nasum Ahmed(Manager for geology), together with the AEMG team, led by Mr. Stephen Amoako, received the results during the official handing over ceremony.
The successful completion and presentation of the laboratory analysis marks an important milestone in the ongoing assessment of the Gyamurume iron ore deposit. The findings will support the evaluation of the resource and contribute to informed decision-making regarding its potential development.
GIISDEC remains committed to working closely with its partners to promote the sustainable development of Ghana's iron and steel industry through scientific assessment, strategic collaboration, and responsible resource management.

The Chief Executive Officer of GIISDEC ,9th June 2026, officially swore in the members of the Fixed Asset Coordinating Unit (FACU).

FACU was established to ensure the effective management, accountability, and safeguarding of GIISDEC’s fixed assets.

The committee is mandated to maintain a comprehensive asset register, oversee asset acquisition and allocation, coordinate maintenance activities, and ensure the proper retirement and disposal of assets in compliance with relevant Public Financial Management and Procurement regulations.
