Innovation isn't a happy accident, it’s a result of the environment you build. Michelle Winn from Peak Positive will be hosting a live, diagnostic-led session with real-time insights, looking at the unique challenges of working alone and how to overcome them here at the Digital Greenhouse Guernsey next month.

This session is for solopreneurs, freelancers, founders, and independent consultants trying to innovate without the safety net of a team. She’ll look at quieting the inner critic that shuts down ideas, breaking out of the solo "echo chamber" and navigating the role of AI when you don't have a team to sense-check it with.

We are excited to welcome Professor Dan Brown from UCL, who will be demonstrating cutting-edge software used to identify intellectual property theft. We’re looking for the next group of bright minds to debate the ethics of tech and innovation.

Phase one over: the student teams have completed their research. Attention now turns to sketching out their solution.

The Problem
Guernsey has a rapidly ageing population, with many older residents living independently. This often leads to two significant issues: social isolation and hidden health or safety risks that go unnoticed until they become emergencies.

The AI Challenge
Develop an idea for an AI-integrated application designed to support the well-being and independence of Guernsey's older generation. The solution should focus on moving from reactive care to proactive support, ensuring no one feels forgotten or unsafe in their own home.
