What started on 7 August, 2008 in Georgia wasn't a random violation, but a clear sign that Russia no longer followed international rules. The annexation of Crimea only proved this truth. Russia's aggression against Georgia had shown that hoping Russia will play by the rules is a dangerous mistake. This must be borne in mind both in the West and in Tbilisi.

ის, რაც 2008 წლის 7 აგვისტოს საქართველოში დაიწყო, შემთხვევით დარღვევა არ ყოფილა, არამედ აშკარა ნიშანი იმისა, რომ რუსეთი საერთაშორისო ნორმებს აღარ იცავს. ყირიმის ანექსიამ ეს სიმართლე მხოლოდ და მხოლოდ გაამყარა. საქართველოს წინააღმდეგ რუსულმა აგრესიამ აჩვენა, რომ რუსეთის მიერ წესებით თამაშის იმედი, საშიში შეცდომაა. ეს როგორც დასავლეთში, ასევე თბილისში კარგად უნდა ახსოვდეთ.

🤗💡It was an absolute pleasure to engage in a lively discussion with bright young people who were gathered by EuroClub Kvareli within the Human Rights and Democracy Summer School.
ℹ️Chargée d'affaires of Estonian Embassy in Tbilisi, Ms. Gita Kalmet met the school participants from different regions of Georgia in beautiful Kvareli and spoke about human rights and European Integration. As well as Education in Estonia.

როდესაც პატივს მივაგებთ ამ დანაშაულების მსხვერპლებს, უნდა გვახსოვდეს, რომ რუსეთი დღესაც იყენებს იმავე მეთოდებს- უკრაინაში ბავშვების დეპორტაციას, მშვიდობიანი მოსახლეობის ტერორს და უკრაინული იდენტობის წაშლას.

ისტორია გვასწავლის, რომ დაუსჯელობა კიდევ უფრო მეტ აგრესიას იწვევს.

🥰It was delightful to host the children from Roddy Scott Foundation in Pankisi Valley, who has been the embassy's friend since 2010.
🔎The children participated in cultural activities in Tbilisi,
They also visited Estonian Embassy, where they had an opportunity to learn more about Estonia through educational video and a quiz where they were rewarded with symbolic prizes.
🤝The young visitors also met and interacted with Estonian diplomats.
