We're carrying out an important upgrade to our ICT systems to support Explore's services and future development 💻

We expect Strensall Library to remain open as usual on 12 September, but some services may be temporarily unavailable while this work takes place. This may include printing, self-service machines and some library systems.

We're working hard to keep disruption to a minimum and would like to thank our customers for their patience and understanding while these improvements are carried out.

Library telephone numbers will also be changing as part of this project. We'll share the new numbers as soon as they're confirmed, and calls to existing numbers will be redirected to a recorded message with the new number.

Thankyou to everyone who came down to support our first table top sale! And to our wonderful stall holders, we had a great mix of things, there was something for everyone, so please do come down to our next one, it is AMAZING what you can get in a small library 📚

Table Top Sale
Sunday 23rd August | 11-2pm
There will be a Library fundraising table with booksale, jigsaws & handmade crafts. There will also be 2 local authors, Michael Wash & John North, Kala's Crafts, childrens toys bric-a-brac, second hand clothes & a Crystals/Gemstones stall too! We will also be running a takeaway coffee/tea service!
We still have 2 small tables available, please email to book!

Table Top Sale Fundraiser!
Sunday 23rd August 11-2pm
Strensall Library

We are holding a table top sale to fundraise for our upcoming window replacements, we still have some tables free still if you would like to come along & sell crafts, cakes, bric-a-brac etc There is no set fee, just a donation towards the Library.

We have booked in Books/Jigsaws, Children's toys/Crafts, Ladies clothes, Crystals/Gemstones & Jewellery and Kala's Krafts.

Our Summer Raffle has launched!! We are currently fundraising to replace our old windows, we have some wonderful prizes to be won including this beautifully handcrafted Fox by one of our lovely craft ladies, Vanessa!
If you would like to be in with a chance of winning one of our 7 prizes, pop into the Library to purchase your raffle tickets - £1 each or £5 a strip.
Winners will be drawn on the 1st of September & notified later that day.

The Summer Reading Challenge launched on Saturday so don't forget to pop in & sign up! If you haven't taken part in the challenge before, it is free to sign up & participate, the challenge is to read any 6 books over the summer holidays, for each one you receive a sticker to put in your reading folder & a character card, if you read all 6 books by the 12th of September you will receive a certificate & medal!

Saturday 13th June - pre-Carnival Coffee Morning 10-12pm ☕️🍰🫖
This week we are holding an extra special coffee morning, come down enjoy a range of homemade cakes, bakes & pastries, then at 12pm join us in watching the Strensall Carnival parade go past before heading down to the Village Hall to support all the local groups & businesses 🎉
