Happy Volunteers’ Week! 🥳

A huge thank you to our fantastic volunteers for all their hard work, dedication, and support. To celebrate their invaluable contribution, we planted a beautiful plant this week, had a garden party, and added a plaque as a lasting tribute to the difference they make every day. 🦋✨

What a day! 🌈

A huge thank you to everyone who marched, volunteered, stopped by our stall, said hello, picked up a leaflet, or came along to celebrate with us at York Pride!

For the first time, Kyra had a stall at Knavesmire alongside taking part in the parade, and we had such a lovely day meeting people, chatting about the LGBTQ+ Group, and connecting with the community.

Pride is always a special day, and we were proud to celebrate, support, and cheer on our LGBTQ+ members, staff, volunteers, and the wider community.

Thank you all for helping make it such a joyful day!

We’ll be taking part in the parade and hosting a stall on the Knavesmire from 11am, so come along and say hi! We’d love to see you there.

We run a regular LGBTQ+ group at Kyra, and Pride always feels like a really lovely extension of that, a chance to celebrate, show up together, and be part of something bigger across the city.

If you’d like to join us for the parade, you’re more than welcome, just drop us an email at [email protected] for more details

We offer crisis-alternative mental wellbeing support, focused on prevention, early intervention, and long-term recovery. Our gender-specific, holistic, neurodiverse-informed sessions fill service gaps, build resilience, and reduce reliance on statutory services.

Our holistic offerings include drop-in sessions, gardening, walking group, singing group, poetry, crafting, mindfulness. We also deliver programmes which provide targeted support such as: bespoke group and 121 support for getting back into employment or education, overcoming domestic abuse consequences; building self-esteem, tackling the root causes of anxiety, setting boundaries, managing emotions, dealing with loss, empowering young vulnerable women, neurodivergence support and establishing positive habits and goals.
