It is advisable to wear a seatbelt at all times. However, there are some exemptions:
🥼Medical exemption : You have a medical certificate from a doctor
âš  You are driving in reverse or supervising a learner driver doing so
🚓You are in a Police, Fire or rescue vehicle
🚖You are a licensed taxi driver plying for hire
🚚You are making deliveries in a goods vehicle, traveling less than 50 meters between stops

Before you set off, take a moment to do your Safe TRIP Checks:
🚗Top–up - Fuel, oil, screen wash and charge your electric vehicle.
🚗Rest - Plan your journey in advance with regular stops to prevent driver fatigue.
🚗Inspect - Check lights and tyre condition, pressure and tread.
🚗Prepare - Have a plan for changeable weather conditions.
A little preparation goes a long way to keeping you safe on the road.

🔧1 in 10 drivers needed a courtesy car, costing £434 on average
🚗 14% needed onward travel recovery - £346 on average
🚗 25% needed towing, costing £257 on average

Drive to the weather and road conditions. This might sound obvious but prolonged periods of wet weather have badly affected a lot of road surfaces – yes we mean potholes!
And while the weather might be warming up, we’re still seeing some chilly mornings and rain which can make the roads even more dangerous.
Look ahead, keep your distance from vehicles in front and stay alert.
