What a day! First doorknocking along Hartoft Street with our fantastic MP Rachael Maskell with so much brilliant support from our local residents then Conrad held his regular drop-in. Although Bison remains closed before the new owners take over we made do with camp chairs outside! Thanks all.

*Thursday morning update*. The road is now open. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Wednesday morning update on Fishergate: Yorkshire Water are currently on site, working to repair the road.

Once the new surface has set and the surface is safe to drive on, the road will re-open to all traffic. We're hoping that this will be by late tonight (Wednesday). We know it's been a tough few days on the network with delays across the city, so thank you to everyone for your patience while a solution was put in place.

City of York Council cleared the drains and gulleys on Fishergate in July this year as part of our Highways Maintenance Programme, and we’ll continue to work with Yorkshire Water to monitor the situation.

Come along this Thursday (2 PM – 4 PM) on Fulford Parish Field (off School Lane) for free inflatables and activities!

​⚠️ Travel Note: Due to road resurfacing, School Lane may be closed to cars. You can still access the field by car via Porter Avenue (Germany Beck), or on foot/bike via Fulfordgate and School Lane.

Summer holiday fun with York Knights RLFC coming up this week! Together with Fishergate Labour we're providing a programme of events over the summer which are FREE to attend. The first one on Thursday from 2 til 4pm with the inflatables on Fulford Parish Field (just off School Lane). Please note that due to resurfacing works it may not be possible to access School Lane in a car. But the field can be accessed from Porter Avenue on Germany Beck, plus walking and cycling routes are still available via Fulfordgate and School Lane.
