Were you in New Street, York on the afternoon of 6 June?
We’re appealing for witnesses after a man was arrested following a disturbance in the street.
At around 2.30pm we were called to New Street near the Bottega Milanese restaurant to reports that a man was acting aggressively and shouting abusive comments to members of the public. We also received a report of a theft from a nearby shop.
We are appealing to anyone who was in the area and have not already spoken to the police to come forward, including a group of men walking past who were subject to racist verbal abuse.
