It’s official! The emails have landed and you finally know which school your little human is heading to in September.

Whether you’re doing a happy dance in the kitchen or still processing the news over a very large coffee, one thing is certain: The countdown to the first day of school has officially begun.

We know that "Primary School Ready" is about so much more than just buying a uniform and a lunchbox they can actually open. It’s about the big feelings, the new routines, and the independence they need to thrive.

Our 'Get Ready for School' courses are designed to help you and your child navigate the transition with zero drama and maximum confidence.

What we cover:

⭐ The Practical Bits: Little things you can do now to make the first day of school a little easier
⭐ Social Confidence: Navigating the playground, making friends, and asking for help.
⭐ The Emotional Leap: Managing separation anxiety (for them and you).

10 week courses are taking place this term at three schools:
- Burton Green Primary School from Tuesday 21 April for 10 weeks, 9:30am - 11:30am (https://l.yorklearning.org.uk/QB5)
- Hob Moor Children's Centre from Thursday 23 April for 10 weeks, 12:30pm - 2:30pm (https://l.yorklearning.org.uk/PU9)
- Fulford Explore Library (St Oswald's) from Wednesday 3 June for 5 weeks, 9am - 10:45am (https://l.yorklearning.org.uk/QZ1)

Don’t wait until August to start thinking about the transition. Let’s spend the summer building the skills they need to walk through those gates with their heads held high.
