I’m sorry to report that the roundabout at Stray Road Park is currently not working. It has been reported to Caloo, who installed the equipment and competed the works in January 2022. The Parish Council will provide further updates as soon as possible.

Have you left your little ankle socks behind in Stray Road Park, Heworth Without, York? A cabbage white butterfly was making its home in them. They are on the first black bench as you walk in from Stray Road.

Wow what a fabulous summer of sport and fun we have had at Stray Road Playarea. Our last event with Ignite Sports Coaching is Monday 24th August 2026 and it's their inflatable assault course. 2.30-3.15pm under 8 years and 3.30-4.15pm over 8 years.

Hope you have all booked in to have some fun.

Public consultation by City of York Council was launched on 10th August 2026 on proposals to extend the existing Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) in York city centre. Consultation closes on 18th September 2026 (which is before HWPC's next Ordinary meeting).
