CHESTNUT LODGE
It was nice to have a return visit to Chestnut Lodge this morning to meet some of the residents and wonderful staff. Many familiar residents were all joining and participating in a relaxing morning with staff who cannot do enough to help make others lives more meaning full and enjoyable. A couple of photographs taken below to remind me of the visit, and the care, and dedication shown by those carers at Chestnut Lodge.
I take my hat off to you all for what you do in our community with many thanks for your service, it is in valuable.

⏰ 6:30PM – 1AM

Join us for a fantastic evening of entertainment, dining and fundraising, while helping us raise vital funds for Yeovil Hospital Charity Dementia Care and Yeovil Freewheelers Blood Bikes.

The evening will include a delicious 3-course meal, followed by live music from The Dale Fender Band — a four-piece party band bringing you all the best hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s! 🎶

There will also be an auction, raffle and plenty more throughout the evening, making it a night not to be missed!

🎟️ Tickets are £55 per person, with all profits going directly to our chosen charities.

Come along, enjoy a great night out and help us make a difference to two fantastic local causes. ❤️

PROJECT DANCE PRESENTS
Things I’ve Never Said.
What a wonderful show performed for us all by this talented group who sang and danced for us all evening. This group with an age ranging from twelve to twenty four can have nothing but the opportunity of a career on the stage whether dancing, singing or acting moving forward. With back stage members just as talented putting these show’s together and getting the best from everyone the future is bright for the Performing Arts.

HUNDREDS ENJOY BIRCHFIELD PARK
Many turned up to the last Town Council event for the children this holiday. A bit windy but sunny and dry, and a good time was had by all, from stroking some animals to just having good fun, really good to see all enjoying themselves.
Just one thing that spoiled the event for me was the two boys riding their Escooters through the park at speed. Not content with this they were also speeding up and down Birchfield Rd like stupid idiots. When will the parents of these children start addressing their children’s behaviour which is against the law? Apologies for moaning but some behaviours need to change.
A big thank you to the organisers of the events.

DAY OF THE CIRCUS
Another fun day for all at Milford Park. Mums dads and children enjoying themselves and looking forward to the Circus later during the day. Even the Town Crier got stuck into large ice creams, I lost count many more and he will have to up the waistcoat size. Don’t forget the Petting Farm at Birchfield on Monday.

100s HAVE FUN
Activities were enjoyed by many at Nine Springs Country Part which were put on by Yeovil Town Council for all to have fun and participate during the holidays. To be able to support events like this with town council staff and see the many children and adults come together and have fun is very rewarding. Well done to Emma for co-ordinating and all staff for their efforts, an excellent event.

LYNX WORLD RECORD REUNION.
A pleasure to attend the reunion of engineers who met to celebrate 40 years of the world speed record accomplished in 1986.
I will look forward to the plaque that will be erected in the Borough shortly to mark this momentous occasion of all involved.
