What a month it’s been for Yate On-Call Firefighters! 🚒
Throughout the month, our crew attended 33 shouts, responding to a vast variety of incidents across our community. From emergency call-outs to supporting local residents, our firefighters have been ready to respond whenever needed.
We also managed to fit in a very successful car wash fundraiser, which was made even better thanks to the incredible support and generous donations from our local community. Your kindness and encouragement mean a great deal to us – thank you!

💸 After washing over 200 cars, our incredible crew and helpers managed to raise just under £3000 for the FireFighters Charity

🙏 We would like to thank everyone who came along to support the event. We overwhelmed and inspired by the community spirit we have seen today - the generosity and kindness kept us going despite the heat and exhaustion!

🧑‍🚒 We would also like to say a massive thank you to the Chief Fire Officer, who took time out of his busy schedule to lend a hand

🧡 And finally a special thankyou to Yate, for donating meals to keep our firefighters and helpers fuelled up throughout the day, and to everyone else who offered us refreshments!!

Last night, Yate On-Call firefighters worked alongside Wholetime crews from Bath and Bedminster at a well-established static caravan fire which had spread to neighbouring farm outbuildings.
Crews quickly got to work in breathing apparatus (BA), tackling the fire and preventing further spread, while ensuring the farm’s livestock were safe and well. 🚒 🐄

Early hours this morning, Yate On-Call Firefighters attended a large fire incident alongside Wholetime Fire Crews from Kingswood and Temple Fire Stations.
The fire involved an industrial trommel rotary screening machine. Thankfully, there were no casualties, and the incident was brought safely under control by crews on scene. 🚒🔥

Yate On-Call Firefighters and Thornbury On-Call Firefighters completed a BA Drill at the Playshed in Yate, where we practised our BA drills with obstructed vision and challenging scenarios. Thank you for inviting us, and also thank you to the staff of the for providing us with an excellent facility and refreshments. 🚒 🔥

Busy evening for Yate On-Call firefighters yesterday 🚒
Crews responded to two alarm actuations, both of which were thankfully accidental. Later in the evening, they worked alongside the Ambulance Service to successfully extricate a patient and assist with their safe transfer to hospital care.
A great example of agencies working together to support those in need.
