Dwiโn falch iawn o fod yn rhan o lywodraeth a fydd yn torri trethi busnesauโr Stryd Fawr a lletygarwch! Bydd y toriad o 30% yn rhyddhad i nifer o fusnesau sydd wedi wynebu cyfnod heriol yn y blynyddoedd diwethaf.
Ers cael fy ethol yn 2016, dwi wedi bod yn ymgyrchu am drethi tecach i fusnesau yn nghanol ein trefi. Maeโr cynnydd mewn siopa ar-lein, parciau busnes ar gyrion trefi, Covid, aโr argyfwng costau byw wedi trawsnewid ein harferion siopa โ ond tydi trethi busnes heb adlewyrchu hynny.
Dwiโn falch felly y bydd tafarndai, bwytai, caffis, bariau, gwestai a busnesau bach a chanolig eraill ledled Cymru yn gweld eu hardrethi yn cael eu lleihau o 30% o 1 Ebrill 2027. Bydd y toriad yn cael ei ariannu gan gynnydd bach yn y cyfraddau ar eiddo sydd รข'r gwerth uchaf, gan gynnwys archfarchnadoedd.
Diolch o galon iโr holl fusnesau yn Arfon/Gwynedd Maldwyn sydd wedi trafod eu pryderon gyda mi dros y ddegawd ddiwethaf!

Iโm very proud to be part of a government that is cutting business rates for High Street and hospitality businesses across Wales. A 30% reduction will provide much-needed relief for businesses that have faced an incredibly challenging few years.
Since being elected in 2016, I have campaigned for a fairer business rates system for businesses in our town centres. The growth of online shopping, out-of-town retail parks, Covid and the cost-of-living crisis have transformed the way we shop and do business โ but business rates have not kept pace with these changes.
Now, with Plaid Cymru in government, we have the opportunity to change that.
From 1 April 2027, pubs, restaurants, cafรฉs, bars, hotels, gyms, cinemas and many other small and medium-sized businesses across Wales will benefit from a 30% reduction in their business rates. The cut will be funded by a small increase in the rates paid by the highest value properties, including supermarkets on large sites.
Our High Streets are at the heart of our communities. Heartfelt thanks to all the businesses in Arfon/Gwynedd Maldwyn that have discussed their concerns with me over the last decade!
