Wythall Library

Wythall Library Wythall Library is part of the Worcestershire Libraries & Learning Service. It is located within the fantastic new Woodrush Community Hub on Shawhurst Lane.

The library caters to all age groups, boasting a wonderful children's section with bright seating and books to support a child's key stages of development including board books for babies, picture books, easy readers and chapter books, super-readables for reluctant readers and dyslexia and teenage specific titles. Non-fiction books are readily available to help with school projects and homework. O

ur general library is stocked full with adult fiction and non-fiction, including new releases from new and established authors in both standard and Large Print. We also offer 'Spoken Word' books which are available for loan at a cost of £1.40 for 3 weeks. In addition to the above we have a small local history section and various reference material. If you're looking for some entertainment we have plenty of DVD's to rent for one week at the following costs:
Children's (U, PG or 12) - £1.40 per week
Rated 15 or 18 - £1.90 per week

We have free Internet access on 6 People's Network Terminals available for public use. There is a booking system in operation for the computers if you wish to avoid disappointment. Computers can be booked online via http://www.worcestershire.gov.uk/info/20017/libraries/38/book_a_computer_at_your_local_library

The library catalogue is available to search online via http://capitadiscovery.co.uk/worcs/
and you can reserve and renew books online by logging in to your customer account. Your borrower number is displayed on the back of your library card and customer pin numbers are set at the first 4 digits of date of birth e.g. January - 0101. Exciting news! We have Sunday Times bestselling author Annie Murray coming to Wythall Library on Saturday 13th June from 2.30. A lot of Annie's books are set in and around Birmingham. Come along and hear her talk about her inspirations, and her latest novel and ask your own questions.
The talk is part of Wythall Library's 10th birthday celebrations, so come along and help us celebrate. Have your opportunity to ask an author something you have always wanted to know.
Places are free, but limited, so places must be booked in advance.

Come and help us celebrate Elmer Day 2026 at Wythall Library tomorrow, Saturday 23rd May. From 11am come and listen to some Elmer stories and then join in with crafts for the colourful, patchwork elephant.
There will also be Lego Club and Board Games club on, so something for everyone to enjoy this Bank Holiday weekend. All the activities are free with the option of a drink and snack for 50p.

As part of Dementia Awareness Week, Redditch Library will be hosting a free health and wellbeing fayre this Friday, 22nd May, from 10am to 12.30pm.
There will be a couple of talks, old newspapers and photographs to browse, and some local support agencies to talk to.

Redditch library hosts a number of Health & Wellbeing organisations with free talks at 11am- Scam Awareness and 12 noon, Dementia Awareness. Pick up your free resistance band and workout leaflet (while stocks last), take a trip down memory lane and borrow for free (with your library membership) a Memories & Me bag full of nostalgia to enjoy with friends and family. Meet support agencies in your area. Refreshments available for small donation. All welcome
