Colin Sutton, Police and Crime Commissioner for Norfolk, officially launched his Police and Crime Plan and Police Budget Consultation earlier this week in an effort to gather feedback and opinions from residents of Norfolk on his three priorities.

One of Colin's primary responsibilities is to publish a Police and Crime Plan setting out what the priorities should be for the course of his tenure, which will outline the main points in which Colin will hold Norfolk Constabulary and the Chief Constable to account.

Colin has spent this launch week out and about in various places in Norfolk, notably Cromer and Sheringham yesterday.

He started the day by chatting to members of the public in Cromer Library, getting to know their concerns on policing and crime in the county, and encouraging them to take part in his consultation to help shape his priorities.

He then had a stroll around Cromer with a police officer, chatting to passersby, before heading to the town council where he spoke with members of the team about the consultation.

Colin then stopped by Sheringham town centre, and had more valuable conversations with residents who shared their concerns around roads and speeding.

All of Colin's valuable conversations with members of the public on policing and crime help to provide a resident-focussed Police and Crime Plan.

The consultation will run from Monday 14 September until 5pm Friday 9 October 2026. Over the coming weeks, Colin will be out and about across the county talking to residents and getting their views.

Colin Sutton, Police and Crime Commissioner for Norfolk, officially launched his Police and Crime Plan and Police Budget Consultation yesterday in an effort to gather feedback and opinions from residents of Norfolk on his three priorities, and marked the launch with a public pop-up in Loddon town centre today.

One of Colin's primary responsibilities is to publish a Police and Crime Plan setting out what the priorities should be for the course of his tenure, which will outline the main points in which Colin will hold Norfolk Constabulary and the Chief Constable to account.

Colin got chatting to various members of the public in Loddon today, some of which were pleased with the recent uplift in visible police officers in their town, following the allocation of six officers dedicated to the area. It also led to some valuable conversations where members of the public shared their concerns on policing and crime, which Colin will consider for his completed Police and Crime Plan.

The consultation will run from Monday 14 September until 5pm Friday 9 October 2026. Over the coming weeks, Colin will be out and about across the county talking to residents and getting their views.

Colin Sutton, Police and Crime Commissioner for Norfolk (PCC), has launched his Police and Crime Plan Consultation to ask residents of the county whether his proposed three main priorities omit anything critical. The consultation also asks residents whether they would be prepared to pay more for their police force.

One of Colin's primary responsibilities as PCC is to publish a Police and Crime Plan, setting out what the priorities should be for the course of his tenure.

During his eight weeks in post, Colin has already had the opportunity to see for himself the work taking place behind the scenes to ensure Norfolk remains a safe place in which to live and work.

With only 18 months left before the position of Police and Crime Commissioner is abolished by the Government, Colin is keen to publish his Plan as soon as possible to effect changes on the ground. So, he is urging people to take part in his consultation to ensure their voices are heard.

Colin Sutton, Police and Crime Commissioner for Norfolk, is carrying out a series of videos breaking down his first month in post.

In this episode, Colin speaks about his day with the Community Safety Operations Unit, where he learnt more about the engagement they carry out with rural communities and providing eyes in the sky for police through the use of drones.

Colin accompanied two officers throughout the day, visiting rural areas to engage with residents who often work with the police, as well as observing the officers launch a drone as part of an ongoing search.

Colin Sutton, Police and Crime Commissioner for Norfolk, spent the first part of his Saturday chatting to professionals, support services and more at the Uniformed Services event in King's Lynn.

It was a lovely event that shone a light on the key work uniformed services carry out here in Norfolk in order to protect us and keep us safe.
