Celebrating 7 years of Preserve Penley Hospital, thank you all for your continued support! ❤️

I set up this page following the loss of my dear mum, a nurse at Penley over 3 decades. My aim to raise awareness and keep in the public eye the important history and legacy of Penley Hospital before it is too late and the history is lost.

As Preserve Penley I was key in instigating the Exhibition and Reunion at Wrexham Museum and now I am proud to be on the board of the new Polish Heritage Penley project – “Polska Penley, Preserving a Legacy.” This project will honour, celebrate, and safeguard the rich Polish heritage rooted in Penley, North Wales.

Today at Penley church, paying respect to the Penley Polish Graves many of them military graves. Volunteers helping to w**d and tidy each grave. Come down and lend a hand and / or pop in and see the Penley Polish Hospital exhibition at the church have a chat, coffee and cake.

If you are interested in the period that Penley Hospital was occupied by US Troops during WW2 on the build up to Operation Overlord / the DDAY Landings, this is the must have book. They also have a page called US Army Camps in the Midlands - World War 2
