We're incredibly thankful to have a fantastic team of volunteers at the Squadron!

A big thank you to all of the Squadron Staff and Committee for working tirelesly for the cadet experience.

We're always looking for more...👀

As Volunteers' Week begins, we would like to say a massive thank you to all our volunteers, from Cadet Force Adult Volunteers, Chaplains, to Civilian Committee Members.

Thank you for the time you give, the support you provide, and the commitment you show throughout the year. Whether on parade nights, weekends away, camps, events, behind the scenes, or in countless unseen ways, your dedication makes a real difference to the lives of our cadets.

You freely give your time to help young people develop confidence, skills, and opportunities that will stay with them for life. The success of our squadrons and the experiences we provide would simply not be possible without you.

This week, and every week, we recognise and appreciate everything you do for the Royal Air Force Air Cadets and for the young people of No. 2 Welsh Wing.

Thank you for your service, your enthusiasm, and your unwavering support.

Congratulations to Cadet Warrant Officer Oliver Edwards of 2279 (Wrexham) Squadron on being formally appointed as Wrexham’s very first Mayor’s Cadet.

In a fitting twist, the appointment was presented by our very own Wing Staff Development Officer, Sqn Ldr Kent, who last night became the Mayor of Wrexham and was instrumental in establishing this new role.

A proud moment for both — congratulations to all involved!
