Wrexham Council’s current stance is that we do not permit the use of these products in our properties. We must consider factors such as electrical safety, overloading circuits, potential fire hazards, installation safety and other concerns in order to keep you and the property safe. 🚫

As this technology develops and guidance becomes clearer, we’ll continue to review our position. We’ll keep customers updated if anything changes in the future.

The next phase of the windows and doors programme will be delivered over a number of years.

When your property is included within the next phase, you will be contacted directly. It is worth noting that Council properties within some wards may be spread across multiple financial years, depending on the number of Council owned properties located within those wards.

All properties included in the 2026/27 financial year have already been notified via letter.
