🌍🌱 REMINDER – PEOPLE’S EMERGENCY BRIEFING 🌱🌍

📅 Friday 30th October 2026

We are hoping to welcome local residents to our upcoming People's Emergency Briefing on the climate and nature crisis.

The evening will include a film screening followed by an open discussion, giving everyone the opportunity to learn more, share their thoughts and have their say.

📢 WE NEED TO HEAR FROM YOU!

So far, we haven't received any responses from residents interested in attending.

As there is preparation involved in setting up the hall, we would really appreciate knowing if anyone is planning to come along.

🪑 FREE STACKABLE CHAIRS – AVAILABLE FOR COLLECTION! 🪑

🎉 Do you enjoy having family gatherings, birthday parties or celebrations at home but always find yourself short of chairs?

Well, we may have just what you need! 😊

We have managed to find new homes for 20 of our chairs at George Edwards Hall, but we still have 110 chairs available FREE of charge!

✅ Stackable, making them easy to store away

✅ Ideal for family gatherings, parties and extra seating

✅ Completely FREE!

🐶💩 DOG WASTE BAGS – RESTOCKED! 🐾

Cefn Community Council would like to let residents know that all dog waste bag dispensers around the area have now been restocked. 🐕✅

Unfortunately, one of the dispensers has been damaged. However, we have still managed to refill it to ensure bags remain available for residents.

We kindly ask everyone to respect the dispensers, only take the bags they need and leave some for others.

These dispensers are provided to help keep our community clean, so please help us look after them.

🐾 Please remember to clean up after your dogs and dispose of used bags responsibly in the bins provided.

🌳 Let's all work together to keep Cefn Mawr and the surrounding areas clean and tidy!

💚♻️ ANOTHER FANTASTIC EFFORT FROM OUR DEDICATED LITTER-PICKING VOLUNTEER! ♻️💚

👏 18 BAGS OF LITTER COLLECTED OVER THREE LITTER PICKS! 👏

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteer Jacqueline, who has been out and about once again helping to keep our communities clean and tidy! 🌳🌼

🌧️ Despite some very wet weather and getting absolutely soaked on one of her litter picks, she carried on regardless!

🚶‍♀️ Her recent routes have covered a huge area, including:

📍 Rhosymedre
📍 Cefn Mawr
📍 Plas Madoc
📍 Ruabon Roundabout and surrounding roads
📍 Trevor Basin
📍 Ty Mawr Country Park
📍 Tesco and the MUGA area

Unfortunately, during one of her litter picks, Jacqueline came across a shocking amount of rubbish dumped near the High Street/Chapel Street junction in Rhosymedre, including bags of rubbish, a kitchen chair, a child's car seat, rugs, wood and cardboard boxes.

Rather than walking past, she did what she could to clear and organise the rubbish for collection.

💚 Jacqueline Palmer, your dedication, hard work and commitment to our community never go unnoticed. We really do appreciate everything you do, whatever the weather!
