Cadw’s Open Doors is back this month, giving people the opportunity to visit local landmarks free of charge.

Councillor Geoff Foy has been in touch with local Chapels in our community to arrange opening days and times for you to visit and enjoy these wonderful buildings!

* Hill Street Chapel (Presbyterian Church) - Saturday 12th and 19th of September between 12 and 4pm

* Capel Bychan, Hall Street - Sunday 13th of September from 2pm

* Bethell Chapel, Campbell Street - Sunday 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th between 9.30 and 11am

* Capel Mawr, Brook Street - Saturday 5th, 19th & 26th of September between 11 am and 3pm

* Penuel Chapel, High Street - Saturday 5th of September between 2 and 3pm

What a feeling.

Wrexham’s official bid for UK City of Culture 2029 has now been submitted, and we couldn’t be prouder to support it.

UK City of Culture 2029 isn’t just a title. This bid isn’t just a document. It’s thousands of conversations, years of creativity, generations of stories, and a huge belief in what Wrexham already is, and what it can be.

The bid is in.

Let’s see where play takes us.

Rhos Placemaking Steering/civic Group first meeting 29th July.

We have our first meeting next week following the development of our Placemaking Plan for Rhos which was supported by the Council’s Executive Board in July.
